![]() If you entering the canyon coming from Cheyenne Crossing you will come to Latchspring Restaurant. I will say hiking isn't necessary to enjoy Spearfish Canyon or the falls, but it added to our experience.Ībsolutely beautiful. Take water shoes if you can and plan for several hours! What a wonderful hike and a beautiful path. When the rain stops, we find Devil's Bathtub empty of people. We take cover under trees here and there and finally an overhang in the cliff wall. Thunder and sprinkles, but we have come a long way crossing the creek many times on rocks and trees. Soon lots of people are coming back in swimwear with towels and such. We keep going without knowing what lies ahead. ![]() ![]() We keep going along, into the forest, up, down, and around trees, rocks, and cliff faces. We come across others that are returning from their trek. My husband, son, and I begin walking along the creek on a narrow path. Of course, I said "Let's check it out!" The parking lot was packed with no one in sight. ![]() Imagine your wife seeing a sign on the side of the road pointing out parking for Devil's Bathtub. We pulled over to get a better look at Bridal Veil Falls, as well. We enjoyed the drive through Spearfish Canyon stopping along the route to "hike" to Roughlock and Spearfish Falls. ![]()
